What is Energy Healing
Energy Healing works with the energy that surrounds
and moves through the body in order to restore increased energy flow to
the major organs plus balancing emotional and mental systems. It should
always be used in addition to traditional medicine not as a replacement.
It is done with the client lying fully clothed on a massage table for a
full session, sitting in a chair for a partial treatment or standing for
a bioenergy treatment.
What are Energy Healing Techniques:
Healing Touch
HT was developed in the 1980’s by Janet
Mentgen, a nurse in Colorado, in order to serve as a compliment to
traditional medical care. It has been used in hospitals and doctors’
offices as well as private practice since it’s beginning. Light touch on
the body and in the energy field around the body treat specific
conditions such as migraines, injuries, preoperative and postoperative
treatments, and pain of any kind. It also brings balance and general
maintenance to the energy system thereby increasing health.
Reiki
Reiki is a simple but powerful form of energy
healing having its origin in Japan. “Reiki” literally means “energy of
God” or “energy of the universal life force”. Like Healing Touch, it
uses a light touch, however can be done just above the body. It
utilizes a powerful spiritual orientation in prayer-like form as in
“laying on of hands” but is not connected to any specific religious
tradition. It is easy to learn and can be used on oneself as well as
others.
Bioenergy
The visible matter of our bodies is animated by
what is known as bioenergy. It is what makes humans and animals alive.
This bioenergy surrounds every cell as this energy flows through us. It
is part of the Universal Life Force. A bioenergy practitioner if able to
help restore balance in the body and remove blocks that cause disease.
Bioenergy involves work a few inches away from the body with goal of
returning balance between the biochemical matter of the body and the
bioenergy flowing through resulting in improved health and maintaining
good health.
What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual Direction is the practice of being
with a person as she/he deepens their relationship with God, the Source,
the Universal Life Force, the Source. The spiritual director asks
questions, suggests prayer and meditation practices, and recommends
readings as well as providing encouragement and support.
What is SoulArt®?
SoulArt® was developed by Beth over fifteen
years ago in order to assist folks to release their own creativity. It
is a “painting from the unconscious” process requiring no conscious
artistic ability. Tempera paint is used on an 18”x 24” sheet of paper.
Participants choose several colors of paint, a couple of brushes and
just let the paint flow onto the paper in random strokes. It is amazing
what comes through in the paintings!! And it so much fun!!
